Concession awarded for mining at the coal deposit “Delici and Peljave-Tobut”

At its 80th session, held on 1st October 2014, the Government of the Republic of Srpska adopted the Decision on awarding the concession for mining at the coal deposit “Delici and Peljave-Tobut” in the municipalities Ugljevik and Lopare to the company Comsar Energy Republika Srpska for a period of 30 years.

The said deposit is located approximately eight kilometres south-west of Ugljevik i.e. on the north-eastern slopes of the mountain Majevica and it has 117,052,919 tonnes of geological reserves of which 77,459,887 tonnes are mineable reserves. 
The planned annual coal production is around 2.6 million tonnes.

Comsar Energy Republika Srpska will pay to the budget of the Republic of Srpska a one-time fee for concession rights in the amount of 530,256.50 BAM. 

The amount of the concession fee for the right to use the subject of the concession is 3.6% of the total annual revenue generated through the concessionary activity.
The estimated value of the total investment amounts to 265,125,155.00 BAM.
