Comsar Energy Hydro submitted to the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Civil Engineering and Ecology of the Republic of Srpska a request for approval of the Study on environmental impact of the hydroelectricity power plant "Mrsovo" in the municipality of Rudo.
The Study on the environmental impact of the hydroelectric power plant "Mrsovo" described the location and the area of influence of the hydroelectric power plant on the environment, performed an assessment the condition of the environment, listed the project data and described the possible impacts of the project on the environment.
It was pointed out that the realisation of the project can provide the conditions necessary for the protection of the environment, and that the project with its function and technical solutions is safe, in terms of environmental impact, with the obligation of the Investor to comply with all measures to prevent, reduce and mitigate adverse impacts on the environment, which are presented in the study, during construction and operation of the hydroelectric power plant.
Conducting monitoring of the impact on the environment is also mandatory.
The study was prepared by a company with extensive experience in this field, "Projekt" JSC, Banja Luka.
Free public access to the application and the Study on the environmental impact of the hydroelectric power plant "Mrsovo" is provided in the building of City council of Rudo (Reception Office). A public debate on the Study on the environmental impact of the hydroelectric power plant "Mrsovo" will be held on 14th August 2013 starting at 10 a.m. at the Cultural Centre in Rudo (small hall).
Everyone interested can, within 30 days from the day of the public debate, submit to the project developer objections and opinions regarding the request and the study of impact, in writing.
