Location of HPP Mrsovo

The partition profile of the Mrsovo dam is located on the Lim River close to the confluence with the Drina River, about 9km downstream from the town of Rudo. To date, the energy producing-potential of the Lim has been under utilised, with only one power plant (HPP Potpeć) built upstream of the Mrsovo plant. Access to the mechanical unit building of HPP Mrsovo will be via a newly constructed access road which connects the plateau with the main Međeđa - Rudo road. This new road forks into two directions: one is routed to the mechanical unit and the control buildings, and the other goes over the bridge on the river Lim to the left bank of the river providing access to the dam crest. Upon completion of the facility, the bridge will remain in permanent use.

The top water level of accumulation at Mrsovo is 355.00 meters above sea level. The top water level of accumulation is limited by the elevation of the town of Rudo and by the requirement not to disturb the natural flow regime on the border between the Republics of Srpska and Serbia.

This top water level forms total volume of 7.7x106m3 accumulation space. With this volume, HPP Mrsovo can perform flow control in its reservoir, through daily regulation and operation with two peaks.
